He has published articles in Studio Potter and Pottery Making Illustrated magazines, and has conducted workshops and presentations based on his colored clay techniques. He was an artist-in-residence at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft and at Bandelier National Monument, New Mexico.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"Body\"\u003eThomas co-founded and was chair\/co-chair of \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/EmptyBowlsHouston\/\"\u003eEmpty Bowls Houston\u003c\/a\u003e. He co-founded \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.clayhouston.org\/\"\u003eClayHouston\u003c\/a\u003e, a regional ceramics guild, and served as President and several other roles on its Board.
