Collection: Tarina Frank

In this collection of wearable works, I am using very little precious materials in the jewelry and choosing to highlight recycled paper and other unexpected craft materials. The porcelain knob and tube electrical components, constructed copper, silver wire cages, and stacks of cut paper, work in collaboration to support the function of the jewelry and create a repetitive pattern. There is a curious nudge towards the work possibly functioning in some kinetic way,  but implied function only highlights the romantic idea of recycling and reusing something. The possibility that if I recycle this one tin can or stack of advertising paper, it may mediate the impending climate crisis.
