Collection: Rene Lee Henry

The design and forms of my jewelry are inspired by aging and abandoned architecture. I make one-of-a-kind and limited runs of my designs, with the majority of work hand constructed. Incorporating an aged look onto sleek modernist shapes creates a versatile look that has a primitive aesthetic with a contemporary feel.

It’s important to me that my work is handmade, using very few prefabricated parts. Exploring the idea of modularity, I often make pieces that can be worn in multiple ways. For the “Interconnected” series I created a special clasp that allows the pendant rings to be removed, making it easy to wear the ring and chain independently. Adding to the practicality, the constructed forms are filled with resin, which emulates the appearance of concrete or stone but is lighter weight and eliminates the risk of breakage.
